Fine then to all those sad people who say i have bad grammer!! I like a girl that is 14 and I am 17!! Is that to young for me!?! HAPPY!?!

Personally, I don't think a 14 year-old is too young for a 17-year-old, if no sex is involved. But if there is, the relationship may not be legally and socially sanctioned by your community and state.

In California, my father was very jittery when my 17-year-old brother was in your situation dating a girl 3 years younger. My father was very concerned that when my brother turned 18, he suddenly became an adult while she would still be a minor. You see, it's illegal in the US for an adult to have sex, ever if consensual, with a minor. The legal age of being an adult varies from state to state.

But if you lived in Canada, then this would not be an issue. In Canada, it is legal for teenagers to have consensual sex if the age difference of the couple is within four years or both partners are at least 14. However, the latter age limit is being raised to 16, because there is concern among the Canadian conservatives that Canada's low age limit is attracting pedophiles from the US. Anyway, the 3-year age difference in your case would still make it legal... in Canada, but not the US.

The Canadian law makes more sense to me. What do you think?

its actually not that strange, girls are mature at 14 years old whilst guys of the same age arent, and lads that are 17 are maturer han at the age of 14, so lol 14 yr olds are more attracted to 17 yr olds than they are to 14 yr olds... on average in england girls lose there V at the age of 14 when on average for dudes its 17.
But anyways back to your question lol personally yeah i dont think 17 yr olds should go out with 14 yr olds, i think its abit weird, the whole not being 16 thing. I guess i see 16 years old as being classed as sort of "adult" whilst anything under is still more like a child.

It really isnt that big of an age difference, but since she is so young you should be careful. If you are looking for something serious, she probably isnt ready for that. She is just becoming a teenager and experiencing high shcool, and Im sure she doesnt want something too serious because there are so many things new and exciting during this time of her life.

I really think that it depends on the legality of the situation. Ask yourself is she worth going to jail for? I have a friend who's brother just got of probation and had to go to jail because her parents filed charges against. The girl threaten to kill herself if he broke up with her and then came to his house and refused to leave and he also got charged with kiddnapping. All because she was under age. There's plenty of fish in the sea, stay out of the ponds =)
