If the religion of Islam does not take some of the blame for murder done in its name, how will this ever stop?

Since the murder Islamists do, is done based on motives dervided from the Quran, how can this madness ever stop if we continue to absolve the Quran?

We all know the Quran is a violent and intolerant book yet we stick to this insane PC worldview, as if, by never dealing with the root cause (Quran), the problem will go away. We even go so far as to worry that we will make Islamists, who are motivated to hate us by the doctrines of the Quran, more angry at us if we respond to their anger. Its an insane loop and PC madness keeps it circular.

Im not juding Muslims, they are entitled to believe the world should separate the sexes and that kafir are lesser beings, Im just advocating honest dialogue and taking them at their word.

They believe the Quran is from God, and yet, I have never read anything so awful in all my life. I beg everyone to read the Quran or at least promise never to speak about Islam without first reading it. You cant believe it...it will shock you to the bone.

You have an excellent question which deserves an answer. However, I'm afraid all you will get are people who would rather point out the flaws of other religions rather than address the cult that Islam is.

I am not sure the Quran is the exact problem in regards to in-sighting violence. In my view it's fundamentalism that is the problem.

Fundamentalism does not allow "authority" to be questioned, or permit the mind to work in it's proper role of rejecting what is obviously faulty. Fundamentalist's of any stripe, be it Evangelical Christians, or radical Islam are all highly susceptible to violence towards others. They all express and act out their own particular intolerance on others through war; terrorism, homophobia, slavery, bigotry, and so on to one degree or another. Give any fundamentalist, any excuse to express their viciousness and they usually do.

"Holy books" are just used to rally the troops behind an ideology that already exists. Within the heart of a fundamentalist these books indeed fan the flames; flatter an immature person's ego, inflate a weak sense of self into glorified importance, breed close mindedness, incite fear and xenophobia, cripple growth, etc. In my opinion the seeds of hate already exist in a shaky sense of self. It reminds me of school age children acting out the worst of human nature on the schoolyard. They really do indeed need to grow up; learn, and become decent people, or these mob's thumping their holy books at these impressionable "young" people will keep them in chains, locked in a closed and hateful system, were religion controls them and they remain blind to their intolerant actions.

You are correct in thinking that if the religion of Islam does not take some responsibility for the murder done in it's name, the fighting will never stop. Same goes for the other fundamentalist's of our world that do not slow down and get some fresh air away from all their religious books. We all know that these books and religions have been used to justify the sickest act's on the planet. Evangelical Americans to now need to admit also that they are operating out of just as much religious hate and zealotry as the radical Islamist's. Different styles, but the same hate, intolerance and desire for blood and revenge.

Let's hope for better day's and a more mature world all around.

I get so tired of hearing about how Islam is a relgion of peace. BULL. Anyone who says that has never read the Koran. Here are a few choice scriptures from the holy and inerrant Koran:

Qur'an 47:4 "So when you clash with the unbelieving infidels in battle (fighting Jihad in Allah's Cause), smite their necks until you overpower them, killing and wounding many of them. At length, when you have thoroughly subdued them, bind them firmly, making them captives. Thereafter either generosity or ransom (them based upon what benefits Islam) until the war lays down its burderns. Thus you are commanded by Allah to continue carrying out Jihad against the unbelieving infidels until they submit to Islam."

Qur'an 8:67 "It is not fitting for any prophet to have prisioners until he has made a great slaughter in the land."

Qur'an 5:33 "The punishment for those who wage war against Allah and His prophet and make mischief in the land, is to murder them, crucify them, or cut off a hand and foot on opposite sides... their doom is dreadful. They will not escape the fire, suffering constantly."

Qur'an 2:61 "Humiliation and wretchedness were stamped on the Jews and they were visited with Allah's wrath."

Qur'an 33:26 "Allah made the Jews leave their homes by terrorizing them so that you killed some and made many captive. And He made you inherit their lands, their homes and their wealth. He gave you a country you had not traversed before."

Qur'an 4:55 "Sufficient for the Jew is the Flaming Fire!"

There are many many more scriptures from the Koran and from their other "holy" writings.

The fact is that all of our religious books were written by bronze age fisherman and goat herders. The fact that people in the 21st century take any of this crap seriously is dumbfounding.

First of all what on earth did you read second the word islam litreally means peace derived for from the arabic word salamah or salam which means to submit or peace.As i said before the Holy quran condems the killing of inoccent people ,it says in chapter maeydah that if you kill one innocent human being its like the killing all humanityAnd if you save one human being it is like saving all of humanity. And to understand the quran you must have fully operational command of the arabic language and i doubt you even know the language and translation of the arabic language isnt easy and are sometimes inaccurate and i only mean the translation , the holy scripture is flawless.Well and i do believe sexes should be seprated want to know why because your talk of women’s liberalization is nothing but a disguised form of exploitation of her body, degradation of her soul, and deprivation of her honour.Some western societies claim to have ‘uplifted’ women. On the contrary they have actually degraded them to the status of concubines, mistresses and society butterflies who are mere tools in the hands of pleasure seekers and sex marketeers,hidden behind the colourful screen of ‘art’ and ‘culture’.and this what has happens in co education facilities, according to a report of ‘News Week’ which was published on 17th of March 1980, on page number 50, in which the sexual assault of the women in the universities are given. And it said(in general) - ‘Lecturers and professors - they forced the ladies into sexual harassment, in exchange for a better grade. New York Times (dont remember the issue#)- It said that… ‘25% of the ladies that go to schools and universities in America, are raped’. My point is… Does anyone want to send their child to a school to get educated, or do they want to send your child to the school, to pick up sex techniques, or be sexually harassed?Moving on to work places,According to statistics 50% of women in america who work are raped each year, why? - Because most of the jobs in America, involve intermingling of sexes. If you think that a lady should be raped,and this percentage should remain as it is or probably rise then no need to take any steps.No offence intended these are established facts thats all.

Entire civilisation wiped out, the Spanish inquisition, the Crusades, Hitler...
The Bible has caused more death than any other religious book in history.
