I contracted the Hep B at an early age and have been a carrier all my life. It's always been a weird burden to carry around. I'm healthy and doctors tell me that I'll most likely live a long, healthy life, but I'll always carry it with me and be able to infect others via blood/or sexual contact. There is a vaccine out there for this, but not obviously everyone has been vaccinated.

My question for the laides is HOW should I deal with this? Ladies in your brutally honest opinion, would you want to be with a guy who's Hep B positive? Also, when in a relationship should I tell a girl about this? It seems that timing is an important thing in relaying this sort of information.

If you want any more info on the disease, before you write your answers, here ya go:

Thanks for your answers and thanks for your honesty.

I really feel like you will meet some one that will over look that you have that. I think you should tell them a week after you meet them, that way if she is truly interested in you she will still be with you. If I met a guy and we have known each other for several weeks and he told me he had that,if i really liked him before he told me that,it wouldnt change nothing,I would still be with him and we would use protection. Just hang in there, and yes I would,if I really cared about him and seen a future with him.

Wow!, That is a hard pill to swallow. I am so sorry to hear about your situation. I am sure that there is someone out there for you. Is there a support group you can join?, Perhaps you can meet someone there!, You should tell any person up front first. Concentrate on being friends, the right woman would date you. But honestly, I would not!

tell the lady after the third date, or when it feels right. don't let things get serious before she knows. this will reduce the chance that you will get hurt.
