Israel is a brave little country totally built in a basis of international support, in one of the worst sacred and hated, loved and disrespected spots of the world. History, there is a conundrum. War is its fate, in the name of God. There is no Israel without the world's support. So, Israel's war is a world war, for ever and a day.

I guess they don't teach history in school any more. Sigh.
Israel became a nation again in May, 1948 by U.N. resolution. Its "neighbors" didn't like that, and immediately invaded. Although the various Arab forces fought diligently against the newly formed state of Israel, they ended up losing the war, and an armistice was signed in February, 1949. And Israel did it on their own, even though attacked by a much larger, radical force bent on Jihad.
Since then, Israel has had to suffer several wars and conflicts, each one instigated by its neighbors. And each time, Israel has handed its neighbors' rear ends back to them.
So, yes...I think that Israel is brave enough and quite capable of doing anything it wants to defend itself, without asking for our permission, or having our backing.

Israel beat them all before I don't see any difference today. That is why they sit and doing nothing because they know Israel will just kick their azz and take more land. Where does anyone get the idea that any of the Arab nations can put up a fight. The best Arab army in the Middle East is actually in Africa in Egypt. They have American hardware and training.

The Israelis have proven themselves brave enough and well enough equipped to handle the Hezbollah terrorists on their own. The U.S.A. and other peace-loving nations sat this one out, except for giving humanitarian aid. Can't say the same for Syria and Iran, who provided weapons of mass destruction (rockets with explosive warheads filled with 40,000 Syrian made steel ball bearings, made to kill or maim everyone in a 100 yard circle (100 yards is the length of a football field). Nice, huh?

Yes, I do not think their neighbors would go to war with them though without backing. Google the 1967 war to see what Israel did after it was attacked by it's neighbors.

Have you been paying attention to recent history? US has talked Israel out of waging war with their enemies several times. Israel will go to war when they finally get tired of being a target for any idiot in the Middle East. They don't need our help but we would be foolish to not support them. What are friends for?

Counter-question: Do you think Hezbollah would have been "brave" enough to attack Israeli soldiers and civilians if they didn't have the backing of Iran and Syria? I don't think so.
