I am currently dating my best friend. He helped me through a bad relationship and since then, we have been seeing each other. My problem is he doesn't see me as his girlfriend. He says he respects me as one but would not say that I am because he doesn't like commitment which means he'll be tied down. I do alot for this man. I respect him and refer to him as my boyfriend. He wants to introduce me as a roommate. He has alot of female friends and he flirts alot. When they call him and ask him what he's doing, he'll say that he's chilling with a friend and I am right next to him. When we are doing things together, his phone would ring off the hook and he'll answer it (with the exception of while we're in bed). He doesn't see it as a problem and tells me I need to stop tripping. It's like I have bad luck when it comes us doing things together because everytime I ask him to do something, I will get turned down or his phone would ring. Even as friends, we didn't spend much time together. Help

It appears to me that you have some issues to deal with, you call this man your best friend, and you are intimate with him.. (man would I liek to be in his shoes) You are out of touch with reality because of your emotional connection... just like a crack addict you cant see the problem.

get him str8 with the way you feel,tell him to respect you and make him realize that he isn't respecting you, if he was you would be before all the phone calls and other plans, and you wouldn't feel bad about being with or around him.

well he still thinks you're best friends and nothing more, he needs to either accept you as a gf or you need to find somebody who will not only respect you as a girlfriend but will be your boyfriend too.
