yep its possible that the pups have 2 different fathers. wen the female ovulates she ovulates more than 1 egg & not always @ the same time so it just depends on the the time of fertilization. this can also happen w/ humans. its very rare but it is on record. a woman can concieve w/ 1 man and then ovulate after that conception & then concieve w/ another man. its called heteropaternal.

DNA tests are $30. or something like that. You will have to get parents and the pups DNA tested to be able to register the pups. I am considering having a dual sired litter next year, its getting more common all the time.

BTW - The litter owner is usually the owner of the dam. Pay the guy his cash and be done with him. And IF stud owners have a contract for a puppy, it is usually 2nd pick, NOT first.

I hope you learned from this experience. Contracts are important and need to be written up before any breeding takes place.

Yes they can have different fathers in the same litter.
DNA is expensive and not worth it becasue you can not register any of this litter unless you lie to AKC.
Do not worry who fathered the litter place the puppys in good homes and do not breed anymore litters.
Good luck.
