Hmm, I believe the question should be, Why are people unfaithful? To that, the answers are as numerous as the stars. I have yet to find many women who are truthful in deed as well as word. And I know many dudes who are the same. My advice to you is don't play games, let your guy know where you come from. He'll either accept you or run away.
