I have very mixed feelings about spanking my daughter.I dont feel that it is appropriate but I am unsure of any other way to discipline her.Are 2 yr olds to young for time outs?

Time outs should be doled out at 1 minute per year of age. So your child can get two minutes...which is a long time for a two year old. If your kid gets up before the time is up, sit the kid back down..and say...you have to sit here until Mommy tells you to get up.
Repeat as neccessary until your kid understand that YOU ARE THE BOSS.
In my opinion, spanking is not the answer!

IN some states, spanking can be viewed as abuse. Time outs I feel are awesome and a great tool. Put her in a corner, where there is NOTHING around for her to play with. Ignore her crying and leave her until she comes to apologize.

Another option, every time she is bad, take away one of her favorite toys/movies/dolls. This way she will learn she loses when she is bad.

You can try, I've never had much luck with timeouts with my son. Spanking only fuels his fire so we don't have that option either. We pretty much just take away whateveris causing the problem or remove him from the situation. Every kid is different.

Time outs are fine... they might be a little tough to get the child to actually stay there and be quite and not touch anything... but better than spankings.
