Yes it should be. People should stay out of other peoples lives. Why does anyone have a right to tell anyone what to do with their life when they aren't doing anything for them?

I don't see why not. Lots of people do things every day that are as near as damn it committing suicide, smoking, drinking etc anyway. If there is an after life then it means technically it's impossible to actually kill yourself, and if there isn't then it doesn't mean much anyway. Life is very precious but lets face it we appear to place little value upon it most of the time.

Used too, if you "tried to kill yourself" and failed you were sent to prison for "attempted self murder." At least now they send you to a "Care Unit" and don't imprison you (well, more or less).

But, yes, Suicide should be "available" to those so mentally troubled or impaired that they "feel" its the only option. The trouble with this is that this OPTION should not be open to the government to use on its citizens. lol

If your committing suicide do you even care about a law, what can they do to you after your dead? People will stop a suicide because life is precious and most people that make a suicide threat just really want attention .

Sure why not? I mean how do you PUNISH a dead person? Although I still all for involuntary admission to a mental ward for ATTEMPTED suicide. I just don't see a reason to outlaw successful suicide, the prisions are already crowded without those dead bodies.

How on earth would you enforce the law if it was illegal? Arrest the corpse of the person who commited suicide? Charge individuals who did not complete a suicide with attempted murder, and throw them in jail?

Well it is murder...so no. But I don't know how the person could possibly be punished more than the death sentence they've already given themselves!

I didn't know suicide was illegal. Do you mean euthanasia? I believe that should be legalised. People shouldn't have to suffer in pain when they're dying.

How exactly can it be illegal? Why make it illegal? How are they going to enforce it? Put the body in prison? If people want to, you can't stop them.
