It would help if you defined what your idea of "fun" might be. Paris is a wonderful walking city, has great public transport, world class museums and exceptional food and drink. But it is "cher" which in their language, meand EXPENSIVE! And, contrary to what many think, the French are very nice to tourists - especially if they speak the language. It is one of my favorite cities.

Very fun and very expensive if you go shopping on the "Champs-Ãlysé" but still worth it.
