Who makes led lights?

Is there a particular company that makes the chips or bulbs used for all the led lights out there?

Laser emitting Diode, is still in its infancy. Star Wars Jedi light sabres are still a figment of somebodys mind. But L.E.Ds are directional and can blind if pointed at the eyes. Hence laser pointing pens, that are popular with company excutives and classy holigans.

No one company has the franchise yet, so pay your money and make your choice.

Your previous correspondent is confused.

The abbreviation l.e.d. stands for light emitting diode. Nothing to do with lasers.

Many companies make them.
