Chicken came first. Why because Adam and Eve werent made as babies. They were man and woman. God had things in order. He would have made child, eggs, and babies. He made the parent. Someone must teach their children, (eggs, babies,) and feed them.

How the egg when the egg have a hard time even coming out the shell. Let alone doing things to survive.

P.S. I might eat me some chicken this week. A good crunch juicy...... getting off subject but the chicken came FIRST!

I think evolutionary theory would indicate the egg came first, because although the egg had a mother, the genetic variation occurred in the offspring. Over time, each egg that produced a new bird that held a mutation that gave it an evolutionary advantage, would then reproduce. I hadn't really thought about this before, and I wonder if others who accept evolutionary theory have a different idea.

The chicken came first. Who laid the egg? But if you want scripture, check out Genesis 1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that my fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

God created the chicken and the rooster and commanded that they go forth and multiply after their own kind. But to be perfectly honest- BOTH- the egg was there, within the chicken at the time the chicken was created

I'd say egg, but I don't understand how the egg would mean evolution. I mean it's still immediate creation, since he made the egg, y'know?

Before either the chicken or the egg, were creatures that first evolved beyond the form of cellular replication.

Chicken, without the chicken there would be nothing to incubate the egg. Meaning we cannot evolve from nothing.

Egg. Whether or not God created the egg is a different question.
