Just was wondering about how long a person would be in jail if charged with conspiracy to murder...

It's not me, or a person that I'm close to. It's just someone that I went to high school with. I heard they were only in jail for 23 days...that just doesn't seem right.

Some prisons have offenders charged with "Conspiracy to Commit Murder" doing almost as much time as if they were actually charged with "Murder"

Depends on the state. Up to 10 years sounds about right.

a good question but to my knowledge conspiracy to commit murder carries a stiffer sentence than a person who actually commits the murder
