I think people against Pat Robertson should NOT CALL THEMSELVES CHRISTIANS. They are not at all true Christians. They are not willing to WAR FOR GOD. I hate the constitution. God never meant for separation of Church and State. Evolution is an evil teaching as well. God made us people not out of MONKIES!

Well, aren't you a sweet little Bible Nazi. BIBLE NAZI - A fundamentalist christian who thinks it is a violation of their rights if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down my throat

It's only blasphemy if it's an insult to God. Pat Robertson may act like he thinks he's God, but he's not even close...more like Satan, in fact.

What you don't understand is that the clause regarding religion was put in the First Amendment primarily to protect the freedom of religion. As someone pointed out above, many of the founders of this country came here to escape religious persecution in the form of state religions being forced on them by monarchs. It would be bad for everyone, especially Christians, if our government enforced religion on us any more than it already has. For example, I'm a Protestant, and I would resent being forced to accept Catholic views with which I don't agree. I'm sure everyone of any denomination can think of other denominations with conflicting ideas. The whole point of freedom of religion is to be able to choose how to worship, and we can't do that if the government takes away that option to choose.

I don't see how anyone can read the first amendment and not see that freedom of religion is the same thing as separation of church and state. It says, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." In other words, when it comes to religion the government can't tell you what to believe or what not to believe. If we lose that separation and the government starts preaching religion, or worse yet legislating religion, the freedom is gone because you no longer have a choice. That's why religion must always be kept separate from the government.

To put it more simply, separation of church and state is for your protection and the protection of your beliefs...and to protect the rest of us from psychopaths like Pat Robertson!

You are insane. I'm a Christian and I don't agree much with Pat Robertson. That guy is crazy.

God has not asked us to go to war.

God never meant for a seperation of church and state for Israel specifically. I don't think He really wants state religions after all of the horrific abuses of power those in power inevitably commit.

Teaching evolution isn't evil, it's just a silly theory put together by a moron. Others saw a way to create a pseudoscientific cottage industry based around atheism and tautologies and lies and conjecture.

LOL...
I am not against Pat Robertson I just wish he spoke the truth.

Separation of Church and state is NOT in the constitution, or bill of rights, it is a LIBERAL interruption of the first Amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

It means Congress shell not make a church of the USA, nor prevent me from worshiping where and when I want, in school, in the halls of justice nor on the grounds of the white house. That would include me posting the 10 commandments anywhere I want!

I call him and thoes that follow him xhristians!
sorry

"I hate the constitution."

I am a liberal non-Christian. My grandfathers, great-uncles, and uncle have all served in some branch of the Armed Forces. My grandfathers both served during the Korean War. My great-uncles served during World War II. My uncle is currently serving in the Navy, and was stationed in the Middle East during both the Afghanistan and current Iraqi Wars. My family has a long history of fighting to defend this country and the freedoms that are guaranteed to each individual by the Constitution that you so despise.

You don't like the principles this great country was founded on? Then get out. Looking for a theocracy? I hear Iran is lovely this time of year.

Pat Robertson is not God. You are putting him in the place of Jesus. Is he your idol?
I am a Christian and a conservative, but I think Robertson says stupid things . Just because people have different ideals dosent mean they are against God. I think you have some things to come to terms with.
How old are you by the way?

i'm a Christian and there is fairly little approximately Pat Robertson that I trust. Homosexuality and gay marriage has no longer something to do with the sanctity of MY marriage even though it fairly is a dilution of the meaning of marriage and what God meant it to be. Society can substitute this is regulations to house the adjustments it sees extra healthful to make. Society can not substitute God's regulations. If society desires to settle for, as an entire gay marriage, i'm no longer able to offer up that. It does not propose that I would desire to trust it. there became right into a time whilst pornography became into unacceptable in this united states. today this is on your face everywhere. Has it superior society any? no longer probably. If something it has promoted all way of perversions in today's society that was once dazzling which incorporate rampant pedophilia. So we would finally end up with a rustic that helps gay marriage and makes it in simple terms as primary as heterosexual marriage. For me, it adjustments no longer something. God has sanctified my marriage. this is all i'm occupied with. What 2 adult males do in mattress is their company. i do no longer help it yet my opinion is mine. Society does not care what I or Pat Robertson thinks.

Do you really want to hear what other people have to say. Or do you just want to condemn them blindly? I think you just want to know that people agree with you. That is very narrow minded and sad and I do not think that Christ would be happy with you. You remind me of the pharisees that he condemned when he taught in the temple. As for God not wanting the separation of Church and State. If you read your Bible, you will remember that Christ said, "Render to God the things that are God's and to Caesar, the things that are Caesar's. Unfortunately I cannot supply the chapter and verse here, but hopefully some one will. That to me is a very clear statement of the separation of Church and State.

I'm sensing some hostility... what do you have against monkeys? or spell check?

Pat Robertson is mentally ill and should not be listened to. It's that simple.

Church and state should be separate... religion breeds hatred and intolerance.

Why are you so willing to go to war for god, do you think god is so weak he needs your help?

try not thinking at all, that way you could just channel pat robertson 24/7
my version of the bible didnt seem to include the concepts of church and state as expounded by the american constituion, jesus just didn't really care about it.
if god wanted to make us out of monkeys he could, you limiting of god's powers is blasphemous. though evolution doest actually say that, just red necks.
as for making war on behalf of god , perhaps you could call the taliban or bin laden , they are currently the world's foremost god's army. additionally if you were selected as a suicide bomber in god's army you would in a darwinian manner improve the human race.
ps
remember to love one another as he loves you

was pat robinson the fruit cake who wanted to assassinate the democratically elected leader of a south american nation? so if it were him that makes him the enemy of democracy.
