I was at the game at Tynecastle today and their "fans" were giving it all the sectarian bile and IRA nonsense. They're just scumbags don't you know? as the Arctic Monkeys would say!

True there was an element singing hullo hullo in the hearts end in retaliation to the IRA chants, but they were booed by the majority of us.

It's the IRA chants that rile me the most. What does it say about Celtic when at least 90% of their travelling support sing in favour of a bunch of child murderers?

probably not. The ugly sisters are and always will be a cancer on Scottish Football. They will get a poxy wee fine and then by the end of the season it'll be the same old same old. Hearts have been guilty of it too in the past but all our teams have rancid factions its just there is more of them so more morons.
The clubs dont care because they make there money from the hatred!
The biggest problem is a lot of these people dont go to games. They just wear the shirt and spout there vileness on the streets of Ayrshire and Lanarkshire where bigotry is getting worse, not better!

I didn't see the game today (had to work) and I can't comment on what I didn't see. But what I can say is that the whole sectarian/religion/politics thing is NOT JUST an Old Firm thing. I have seen my fair share of Dundee, Hearts, Aberdeen, etc. supporters winding up Celtic and Rangers supporters and using what they know riles us up.
If the supporters today did sing sectarian songs, do I think it's right? No, I don't. Should there be reprimands? Yes, there should.
I'm a little sick at all the fingers being pointed at the Old Firm supporters for ALL of the sectarian abuse, cause it's not just Celtic and Rangers.
How about everyone working together to end sectarianism? If everyone has a common goal maybe, just maybe we can all learn to work together.

In the seventies the best song levelled at Celtic was just the repetition of two words 'Glesca Tinkies' and clearly a lot of their fans were spending their shipyard money on season tickets rather than clothe their children.
It is a pity someone could not just cut out Ibrox and Parkhead from the map of Scotland and glue them somewhere in Ireland and let them fight it out.
It is significant when you go to a Scotland game that you are more likely to meet an Arbroath supporter than either of the Oaf Firm's fans and that is why the company is always more civilised.
Glasgow is a great city which has given much to the word in everything from industry to the arts.
The two main football teams' fans are a disgrace to Scotland.
But dinna worry - it is being dealt with and the oafs are feeling the heat of officialdom.
The dinosaurs are roaring their last.
Hooray!

Yes Scotland has a problem with this. But do remember we watched the Panorama programme on BBC a week ago and what a bad bunch of lads were over in Germany, don't ya think? I know its a different subject but lets not tarr everyone in Scotland the same as the Old Firm.
Every club in the UK has bad habits. Celtic and Rangers, if you were to go into details regarding their history you will learn alot and understand it more.

they should be punished, sectarian bile is part of life with the old firm it will never be erradicated, you can only calm it down a bit at best, most fans dont give a monkeys but theres a hard core that will never give it up and most of them are 90 minute bigots that says it all,it stains scottish football but thats the way it is,i have been to old firm derbys and the atmostphere is electric, it is part and parcel of football in glasgow,i am a dundee united supporter by the way.

Maroon coloured specs i think.... Did you not hear all the vile that was coming from the Hearts supporters and the police moving in to stop the Hearts fans provoking the Celtic fans (at the Celtic end) into what could have been a total riot. Sectarion singing will never leave us unfortunately, they say it's part of the West of Scotland.........It's also part of the East of Scotland.

Get a life! It's harmless banter. Ever heard of "Sticks and Stones ...". We even used to have sitcoms about this sort of thing once upon a time. Remember "The Whackers", "The Meaning of Life", not to mention "Love Thy Neighbour" and "Till Death Us Do Part". Anyway Celtic were punished: Hearts won.

Both teams should be jumped on by the Authorities. It is no excuse to say well Celtic started it so we responded. This cancer has to be cut out of the game as it brings down the name of all Scots as one answerer remarked.

According to the papers, there will be an investigation but basically Hearts fans sang just to wind up the Celts. Can see this happening every week!
