My last period was the week of June 12. I have not had a period since. Today I took 2 different test, that were also 2 different brands. Both of them the 2nd line was very light but still there. Does that mean I am pregnant??

any line that comes in the positive however light is a positive test you just might have a very low level of the pregnacy hormone wait a week and retest.

Yes, that's accurate. Congratulations, you're pregnant! I didn't know either when I first tested, because the test doesn't tell you anywhere in the instructions that the second line will be very faint.
No matter when you test, it will never be as dark as the other line. Wait a few more days and test again (if you have one you haven't used) and you'll get a darker line. But still, the faint one does mean you're pregnant!

Yeah, that pretty much means your pregnant. That exact thing happened to me, so I bought a different brand....and that test told me I was pregnant. When your not pregnant (but you think you are)...you go to take the test, the 2nd line is definitely not there. So a faded line means your "prego."

you probably are. Try to make a doctor's appointment or wait a couple days and take the test again. It might be that your body is just starting to have enough hormones to effect the tests. If you are, it should be stronger in a couple of days and the line shouldn't be faded anymore

Yes. False negatives are very common...false positives are not. A line is a line is a line. Congrats. :)
There are a few exceptions to this rule. If you've recently miscarried or had an abortion, there's a slim chance you could still have some pregnancy hormones circulating through your body. If neither of these have occurred, then again...congrats!

Yup, you are pregnant. That is how my pregnancy test was. It was so light I couldn't even see it, my husband told me the next day that he saw it. His sisters was the same way when she got pregnant.

this happened to me when i took a pregnancy test and my gyno later confirm i was indeed pregnant. so just called and make an appointment with your doc

Go get the one with a digital read out, or go to your local health department. They do it for free there, I think. And some O.B.-G.Y.N's offices do it for free, too. Hope you get the answer you want!
