My dog, a 5 year old Bouvier, has recently started having accidents. Usually while she's sleeping or laying down, so not on purpose! Any ideas of what this could be? She has an appointment for Tuesday, just wanted some opinions.

My toy poodle has that same problem and has been treated for bladder infections. Now that he is almost 4 years old I know to watch for the signs of infection. If he jumps up out of a sleep or some thing startles him the urine will drip or even squirt out. You may even notice that the urine has a strong, foul smell! The symptoms you are describing sound like a bladder infection which is easily treated with antibiotic. Good luck, she will be fine; I understand how our pets become part of the family!

Some puppies do that, they twinkle slightly bit or normally do a "complete pee" once they get excited or scared. I would not say it is a bladder trouble, consistent with se, extra of simply the puppies demeaner. My puppy used to twinkle slightly whenever I received dwelling and puppy her, however she stopped. I consider due to the fact it is a dog, all feelings are nonetheless new to it, however the puppy will develop out of it.

My guess would be a UTI (Urinary Track Infection)
Your vet will want a urine sample. The best way to collect this is to put a wide mouth jar lid under her when she urinates. If it is a UTI, he will prescribe medication. She is not old enough to be incontinent

Then what are you waiting for taking him to the Vet, so he can get checked or the vet can do something, so he can get cured and feel much better, because just like dogs suffer problems, they are also passing tough times. Its like us, when we have something bad, we immediately go to the doctor, so also manage to take your pet, because they also have feelings and are very worthless, just like us!

You should get rid of her or have her put to sleep. It's one thing when it's a kid and you have to put up with them, but not a dog. I've never had an accident in my life, urine or feces, so I have no compassion for creatures who do. People should feel utterly ashamed of themselves when they do it and should have no tolerance for children and animals who do.

Could be a bladder infection, in which case your vet would have to prescribe medication.
