I'm a freak about my hair and believe me I know how you feel. I too have had bad experiences but remember you have to go back. (To a salon, not the same person) So dig in and do some research. Ask friends, family, neighbors, anyone you can think of who they go to and DO RESEARCH! Go to the salon before you make the appointment make sure everyone is professional, and that the shop is neat, and watch how they listen to their customers. Do they listen or just pacify and give them the ol' Oh yeah OK, I know what you want" routine. Watch what styles and cuts these people are most comfortable with cutting, then decide who's right for you. But remember always" DO RESEARCH!!!!!!"

OK I'm a hair stylist, for one do you sit up straight when you are in you stylist chair? Are you one of those people who like to to talk and move your body at the same time? Are you one of those people that try to look in the mirror while getting your hair done? Anyway you need to find someone to cut your that has a good reputation ask friends, family etc... you have to communicate with your stylist, if you don't like it let them know, someone in that shop would have fixed my hair before I left!

there must be someone you know who's haircut you really love - ask her where she got it cut - she may even be willing to go with you - good luck - and don't be afraid , I think we have all gone through this, explain to the next person that cuts your hair to only cut an inch or so b/c you are trying to grow it out and just want it evened up for now

Ask around. Ask your friends or family members if they know a good salon. And when you find one, consult the stylist on how you want it cut. Maybe you didn't communicate well with the first one, hence the ugly hair cut. Good luck!

Find another salon with a very expierenced hair person! They will be able to fix it for you hun. It may cost a little more to go to a better salon, but it might be worth it. I hate to hear that happened to you hun. I hope everything turns out ok, but do remember, it's hair and it always comes back. If you need tips or looks, feel free to e-mail me. I might be able to help you find a better salon too!

Find out who your friends go to to get their hair cut. There are a lot of stylists out there who do good jobs and just because you had a bad haircut, doesn't mean it will happen again. "one bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch"... wouldn't that make a good song?... LOL

I cut my own, but I know not everyone can- and the back is a bear to cut straight. What you need to do is find a different stylist: Most are better than that.
