Did you ever have a mean teacher in school? I had a teacher in 6th grade who was a total moron. We used to have to be weighed every few months. The school nurse would bring the scale around to each class. We'd go out into the hallway, she'd weigh us and measure our height. She knew I was sensitive because I was chubby, so instead of announcing my weight, she'd just write it down. This teacher deliberately waited until my turn and went out into the hallway with me. When the nurse weighed me, he looked at the scale and very loudly said, "Oh my God! I can't believe you weigh that much!" He was standing in the doorway, so the whole class heard him.

If you think for one minute this was motivation to lose weight for a 12 year old, guess again. I was absolutely humiliated. I had to walk back into that class and face 30 kids who were snickering and carrying on. You'd think someone who wanted to work with kids would've have learned in school about destroying self esteem.

That was very wrong on the teachers part. Don't u wish u could've though of something to embarass him? Some times, I wish I could go back to school with the mentality I have now and say some stuff to mean people.

Did u tell your parents he did that to you? If that was my son/daughter, I would have that teacher fired.

We had this one gym teacher that was a male. We had yearly scoliosis tests, where u would have to go with the school nurse in a little room and take off your shirt and bend over so she could look at your spine. This certain gym teacher would follow us in there and watch(only the girls). At the time(like u said, you were 12), we didn't think anything of it. But looking back now, geez, what a perv!

That person had absolutely no business in a classroom! The sad part is that is a memory that will follow forever and probably affect you forever.
We had a Nun in the 3rd grade that used to literally beat everybody up for one reason or another, corporal punishment of course being allowed back then. However, I feel your situation was much worse because self esteem makes a person or breaks a person especially in those preteen/ teenage years.
It will come back to him one day.

Sounds like a very insensitive person who tried to make a joke at your expense. Hopefully you have taken control of your weight at this point in life and will look back on the school episode as a lesson in how not to influence young people.

What kind of school did you go to?
Did you tell anyone? A teacher can get into a lot of trouble for doing that to a child.
you are right, that was a very cruel and insensitive thing to do at such an impressionable age.
