Not only is it hypocritical it is at best ludicrous. I too have wondered that exact thought. It still amazes me that this country will spend billions each year to support a huge number of illegal Mexicans with our hard earned tax dollars. This countries prisons are absolutely busting at the seams with Mexican men that are happy to be in our correctional institutions. They run them from the inside out.
Did you know that Mexicans in Mexican prisons have to pay for their food and supplies while in jail. The friends that I have that are of Mexican decent are embarrassed that they should have be associated with the Mexicans that think Mexico and its heritage are so superior to our own here. I do not like to think I am a racist however I do not see anyone in the world bending over backwards for any persons that have "black skin", or to get paid more for a job if you speak "an African language or any other" why is it that persons coming to this country (multiplying faster than any group on earth) would have the audacity to try and change the language of this entire country I am sick of seeing "Bilingual is a must". I know that the employment ads are not making reference to speaking "French, Japanese, Swahili, German, Dutch or any other language on earth besides Spanish" I also think it difficult to understand why so many illegal aliens think that "Birth Control" is obscene. Yikes!!! Employment Ads should read "Must speak English" not Bilingual needed. What we need is for all Spanish speaking persons "Speak English". Everyone else has learned the damn Spanish population can too!

If all they know is filth and ignorance and they don't have an education, how can they possibly leave it all behind. They come here for a new life, true, they run from their corrupted, oppressive government so they can have more chances for success. They can't possibly understand what they have not experienced until they get here and learn about it. And they are not running from their culture only the government that allows massive amounts of people live in such poverty.

When I get upset is when some come and take advantage of America's generosity. They have the opportunity to work and educate themselves. Many of them use it. Others just remain here using a welfare system that was built for American citizens but now can't support them. There are many other things that bother me. The drug dealers, the rapists, the child molestors. But the truth of the matter is, Americans are doing all of that as well, so how can I blame it all on one group of people.

It is hispanics in General. Some are doing fine, they work hard are clean and speak English. But there are those that live in a house with 3 or 4 families. This is not healty and they are not clean either. This is supposed to be against the law in Fla. But nothing seems to be done about it. A group gets together and buys a Home for a Family. But once the deal is done there are numerous people living there!!!!! I know of a rental place that the migrants stay at at harvest time. The gal who cleans it said they had feces in the corners and just stunk of urine. They slept on the boxxprings as well as mattresses. garbage evrywhere. Now they limit how many can stay. and they have to keep it clean or out they go.

It's not just you and it's a common occurrence in all 3rd world countries. These people are all uneducated and they put no priority in educating themselves or their children. This is why they will never learn to speak English and you can be assured that you will always have someone to cut your grass. Sure there are exceptions but just look at the facts. Every school system with a high percentage of immigrants from 3rd world countries is a failure. It's not the school it's the priority that these people put on education and it's embedded into their culture. It's just too bad that this view is not politically correct and liberals will argue that if we throw more of our tax money into these schools the problem will be solved. Pathetic.

They shouldn't have to give up who they are to get the same things that we americans have and take for granted. Your ancestors kept their culture when they immigrated over! Hispanic is the correct term. Spanish is the word for people who come directly from Spain. Hispanic includes all the Spanish speaking peoples.

What an ignorant question...
Mexico has a very rich beautiful culture. When Mexicans immigrate, they're just looking for better conditions to improve themselves, they are not running away from their culture.
One of the reasons the U.S. is such a rich, dynamic country is due to the constant influx of different people with different cultures. They bring new ideas and ways of seeing things wihich ends up being very good for anyone with an open mind.

They are leaving Mexico because of poverty and poor living conditions. Most Mexicans are here to work. Unfortunately, in some places, they are eligible for education and social services without having paid anything (taxes). Most Mexicans do not want to be American citizens. They have their culture, history, food preferences, music, holidays etc. It's not any different than the Germans, Irish, Italians, Chinese etc - they keep their culture and beliefs.

What culture do they say they are getting away from? I think they are proud of their culture as well they should be. It's part of who they are . The environment ?
