My hair is jet black, tried going for a chocolate brown. I followed the instructions to the T...nothing happened. My hair was wet when I put it in, could that be the problem?

You can try again the same week just be sure to use a really good conditioner to prevent breakage. Ive gone as far as relax and color in the same day. The problem is your hair is already dark you need to use certain things to lighten it, you'd have no problem going from brown to black..you better check with a professional to see what product to use.

Sounds to me this is occurring in view which you "put in black so as that (you) does not be blonde"... nicely did no longer you in basic terms say this became into for the period of the technique of bleaching it?! you could no longer do some thing that harsh on your hair after already dealing with different colors in August and Dec. Thats why its falling out. this is an hypersensitive reaction even though it sounds to me like your in simple terms over processing your hair and doubtless left the bleach in too long. And in case you burned your scalp too badly it won't strengthen decrease back, a small probability, yet its there. If there's no longer a lot burning on your scalp you should be ok and it is going to initiate regrowing quickly. whilst did you do this? It relies upon on how long its been as a results of fact the incident to comprehend whilst it ought to have/will being turning out to be decrease back. I choose you success! =)

jet black hair is the hardest to dye as me! first you should not wash your hair for 2 days at least, then when dry put the hair color, use 2 shades lighter than the color you want to achieve, wait 45 min then wash as instructed, try this after 4 weeks.
good luck

You are going to have to wait 4-6 weeks. Do you have fine hair or coarse? Do you have any other type of chemicals in your hair such as a relaxer? What type of hair color (brand name)you are going to have to lift your hair color with peroxide then put a rinse on top you have to strip your hair a couple of stages. I suggest you going to a professional. If you are in the Michigan area let me know I'm a licensed cosmetologist.

My colorist does not allow me to get my hair colored but every 60 days. The hair is brittle right after you get it colored and it needs time to heal and get back to the right PH Balance. Girl, patience is a virtue, I say make the best of your haircolor and hair now, and take care of it until you've reached 60 days. Then get an experienced person to color your hair (a hairstlylist that has good references). That way your hair will stay healthy and not break.

you'll have to keep trying its like trying to make black hair blonde isn't it!? it will take some time just dye it wait 6 week if you dont wait 6 week it will damage your hair and keep doing it and it will eventually go brown! ( leave it on for the longest time it says!)

I've always found the only thing that works with black hair is bleaching it first and then dying it whatever shade you were aiming for.

your hair should be dry and shouldn't be freshly washed either. Try in a couple weeks and if it says to leave on for 30 mins --- 45 is okay too.

yeah you should try it again or you could use a ash blonde to get it the color you want cause thats the only way you can do it to get it brown thats what i had to do and it worked. ash blonde really works dont worry it wont turn it blonde and no matter what dont get a blonde with red in it and dont ever dye your haur red cause the it turns orange!

you should wait @ least 6 weeks before you try to dye your hair again. If you try sooner, you'll do serious damage to your hair!!
