Sometimes I see the little buggers but killing them is kind of difficult as I don't keep long fingernails. And then they get away and finding them again is impossible. Any ideas on manually killing them? Won't fix the problem itself but will make me feel better. Bite me will you!

Yo can't manually kill all of them. If you see one then there are at least 800 more. Flea's can also remain dormant in your home for up to 9 mo. If yo have a flea problem get your pets to the vet and medicate them for flea control. Keep the pets out of the house for a while and bug bomb. You may have to do it again in a week but that should take care of it.

If they are on your pet, use a flea comb (available at department and pet stores) to catch them, then squish them with a pair of tweezers. Rinse the comb in alcohol (rubbing, not drinking) when you're through. You may also want to treat your pet with Advantage (or another monthly treatment). If they're in your home (in the carpet and on the furniture), it's best to treat it. There are flea sprays and powders available for carpets and upholstery. Be sure to keep your pet away while treating the area. It is toxic.

Pull them off and put them on a table and squish them with the back of your fingernail till they "pop". Or grab and squeeze them with a tweezer. It's easier to use a flea comb to grab them, then dip the fleas in alcohol or flush them.

Forget manual kill and use flea powder or take a bath. I guess you can by the powder at a flea market.
