My daycare provider gave me two weeks notice that she is discontuing her service, I decided the next day I wasn't going to bring my child back at all. Do I still owe her for the next two weeks?

If this is a home-run business daycare provider, you may not have to give any notice at all. Are you not returning out of spite, or did you find somewhere else for your child to go that quickly? If you pay for your childcare in advance, then you should not have to pay her for the time if your child will not be there. It would have been nice for you to give notice... she does count on your income, even if she has to quit providing the service. If this is a center, you may be bound by a policy that requires two weeks of notice before pulling you out. Most centers also have the policy that they have the right to give notice of two weeks or less on their end as well. Read over the policies you were given when your child started.

Most of the daycare providers I have encountered require a 2 week notice. This should be covered in any paperwork you received when you first enrolled your child in the daycare. And yes, unfortunately you will owe for the 2 weeks. Some daycares require a security deposit upon enrollment to cover the 2 weeks should you decide to discontinue their service. It is too bad that she couldn't have given you more notice!

Yes because you have to give her notice too. I think it's quite rude by the way, that she gives you a two week notice. She should at least have given you some more time to look elsewhere for daycare. I think you have to give her at least four weeks notice so she should give you at least the same amount of time

I worked for a daycare and they wanted a 2 week notice but really didn't enforce it. Most of the kids were title XX paid by the state so they probably got their money anyway but I know they didn't collect from the private pays.
