Aphthasol is a prescription item that works very well for SOME people. Ask for an Rx from your doctor or dentist, who will have to take a look to be sure that it's an canker sore (aphthous ulcer) and not a viral sore.

You can treat a kanker sore with ambasol, warm salt water rinses. but its gonna have to run its course it sould be better after a couple of days keep mouth clean.

Ask your dentist for a product called "Rincinol" it's for canker sores, and pain from braces. Just in case you get these often.
