Liquor does freeze it just has a lower freezing point than plain water.

liquor contains alcohol. Therefore, alcohol prevents the liquor from freezing.

It does. Just get a chemical lab freezer which will go about 118 degrees below zero. But you can't drink it frozen now, can you?

because the fermented liquid only gets stronger in cold. If you leave it in long enough you can see large crystals growing
