I think you should be close to your parents but then there is a limit of it. I think that the most common mistake that the parents make is that they want to be friends with there sons/daughter but they have to remember that there the parents not friends. And there is a limit of conversation talk. Because how are you going to tell your mom that you gave your boyfriend a ********. No that is not cool.

i am close to both of my parents but i am more close with my mom and i only believe some of their ideas, but most of the time i go with my own.

no two people see eye-to-eye on everything...i love my parents, but i was hell to them in hs b/c i didnt see what i do now. we still dont agree on all things and shouldnt-it would make us the same, and i love how different people are! its the beauty inside our minds that really brings out a person-get closer by finding time to see their pov...not by thinking youre being forced to agree with it.
