At the moment I think they are into a Communist state, however, it takes a police state to make that work, according to history.
So I am not sure you are wrong. I don't know that they can think that far ahead, though.
Sashie, I completely agree. I have written to my Congressmen about SPP as well. However, right now there is no law to oppose on that point, except the immigration bill which is clearly meant to be a link in the chain.

I think China's going to put paid to the whole mess. They know how to get production! LOL I think Mexico's just going to end up being an albatross around our necks, and as California taxes and incarcerates itself out of existence, the rest of the country's going to be standing there wondering whyinhell the biggest economy in the 50 states is on life support from the other 49...

Whatever type of economy they have in mind, it will take a police state to enforce it ... personally I think the question of spp is THE most important question at the moment ... I always wonder why people are more interested in commenting about trivial aspects of illegal immigration than making themselves familiar with the bigger picture ....
