You ask two similiar questions and get 18 answers so far, to one, and only two here. The get mad when you say "legal" only but don't have anything to say when you ask "should it be regulated".

It WAS my understanding that immigration was somewhat regulated already. I now know better. So I am with the first answer here, or what.

The Borders of USA should be 100% secure and only individuals with the proper documentation should be allowed to enter.
Individuals without proper documents should be refused entry, if they arrived by an airline, bus etc. - the airline/bus company must be responsible for taking them back to the place where they picked them up.

After we get the border secure, we should work on deporting these criminal trespassers. Then, we shouldn't even consider letting anyone come unless we have done a thorough background check and there is no other criminal history. Once we have decided who we will accept, they should be required to learn English and pay taxes!

I think immigration is being handled just fine. ILLEGAL aliens should be killed and set out on display at the Mexico border to scare away more potential illegals.
