In my opinion you really have to look at the relationship yourself. In most cases, I agree with the majority of responses. He just wants a piece of ***. However, if the two of you have a healthy sex life with one another it just may be a gift of "pleasure." I have given sex toys as presents to friends and significant others myself. In some of the relationships it was a gag gift & in others it was a "happy" gift for the one I cared about. Of course I am more excentric/exotic than most people. My advice would be to take a step back and look at your relationship. Has he given you signs that he isn't ready for a real commitment? Does he flirt with other women when you are out or together? What does your friends think of him? My friends advice and input about the men I have dated has always been about 99% accurate. Although I rarely took their advice at the time they were just about on the money. I guess it's true, love is blind. Well I hope my two cents worth is useful to you. Take care & best of luck. tbr

If he gave you the sex toy to use together then the relationship has moved to a aria and he is wanting to ad spice to the relationship and since the relationship is still new and you are not ready to Tye the not you should not be concerned with it at this time. it also means he feels you have a very open relationship
but if he gave it to you for you to use when he isn't there he is telling you that he cant keep up with you that you are to demanding sexually. and a demanding women can shake a man away. so only you know why e gave it to you .

Well, I don't know if you can judge by that, necessarily. I don't see how it ties to the possibility of committment- it's just a harmless, fun gift. Whether or not he wants to commit is something only time will tell, but in the meantime, have fun with that toy- they can be a fun way to get to know each other better and get closer to finding that out!

You would have to assess the whole relationship, honey. Sounds like you have some reservations here.....go with the gut feeling. Yeah, sure sounds like he likes his sex. After dating for only a few months and he gives you a sex toy.......well, I think that is inappropriate.......does not look good.

A friend of mine did that to a girl he dated for four years. She wanted marriage and kids. He didn't. She wouldn't put out so he bought her a toy for Christmas thinking it would give them a spark. I couldn't believe he did it. He is very self centered. They aren't together anymore. I think she wouldn't give him any because of his selfishness. She should have been with me instead. I would have treated her much better.

More in formation is needed here. He just might like sex and it has nothing to do with his long term plans with you

I'd take it as a sign that he wants to make you happy, and could possibly lead to marriage, just go with the flow...this man will obviously go out of his way to satisfy you
