yeah i do.
One of my female cats is called Missy but i always call her Baby when i talk to her. Strange that............I should of named her it but she knows her name is Missy really.

I tried hard to find a name for my beautiful gray long-haired Himalayan and Baby was the only one to fit her. She was sweet and gentle and got along with anyone. (DA_HAMMERHEAD! There is nothing wrong naming an animal a name that has been used millions of times. If it fits and you like it then that is what matters! I had a black and white Heinz 57 long-haired cat and I named him Spot because he had a black spot on his chin and he was the runt.He grew up and was bigger than any cat I had ever had and acted more like a dog because he would sit in strangers laps or play with them).Good luck with your BABY!

The best way to test a cat's name is to stand on your front porch and yell it a couple of times. (You are going to be doing it anyway, once you get the cat) If you don't feel silly, it's probably an OK name.
I think baby is fine.

To me, it sounds a bit too simple. But of course, it's your kitty, and you can name him/her anything you want. You don't need to ask anyone else's permission. I wish I had a cat; I love the furry little critters!

Yes. They are cute but they both:
won't come when you call them
can't use the crapper
can be loud
can be smelly
can be expensive
expect to be waited on hand and foot
