I really like her but I can't see me taking her to meet my family if she's going to use language like that. It would be embarrassing. I also don't think it's right to try to change people from who they are. But is there a way to get her to see that it's unattractive. I'm no perfect angel myself but I don't use more that a couple of expletives per day. She is more like a couple per sentence.

I have a tendency to be quite the potty mouth myself. The key is, as with anything, to realize that there is a time and a place for everything. ie, I know the difference in how to act at my man's family gatherings from when we're out at the bar. I suggest telling her how you feel, letting her know you are highly attracted to her, and just giving her the opportunity to tone it down alil. If she feels offended or flat out refuses....it's possible that you guys just aren't going to be compatible after all...but give her a chance. You just never know....you might just discover that you've found the perfect "lady on the streets, but freak in the bed" lol....good luck! you'll have to let me know how it turns out!!!

If yall are already dating then just sit her down and explain in a loving way that you love her but you are not thrilled with her language.
That you would love to be able to introduce her to your parents but that your parents will judge her wrongly if she uses that kind of language and you don't want that to happen, that you want your parents to love her as much as you do.
Tell her that you are willing to help her if she wants to curb her cussing and make a joke out of it and use the age old .......every time one of us cusses put a quarter in the jar........tell her that yall can use the money for a special night out on the town or something.

But the main thing to remember is it is not what you are saying to her but HOW you say it.

tell her,straight up!
u say you can't change a person yeah, but yo can change SOMETHING ABOUT THEM. you sure have to tell her,but in a nice way, you can give her an exception, ther some things she can say and others she can't. start out like that, then when it's time to take her to your parents, tell her thats out of the question, it's either what your parents think about her or dissaproval. it won't hurt to change sum1,jus a lil bit.

Changing the way a person verbally expresses themselves doesn't change them as people... if its that bad just tell her your concerns but don't be mean about it... if its meant to be then she will want to change.. at least her language

You can't change that because she's not yours to control. If you can't accept her for who she is, you need to bounce. Be careful with casting folks aside for not living up to your expectations, though. Remember: the pendulum swings both ways.
