why do u ever think that hezbollah will surrender ??? they are fighting for the right and justice which is the withdrawal of israeli occupation from lebanese lands and giving back the prisoners which are jailed for more than 25 years with no charge or conviction ...hezbollah kidnapped two soldiers and directly offered a prisoners swap to free the lebanese civilians which are jailed by israel after six years of negotiation and israel is refusing to give them back ...but israel refused the deal and chose (as always) to solve the problem with blood and started to strike lebanon and after two days of mass destruction in lebanon hezbollah declared war and started to fire missiles back at them ...this is what happend now the question is : should we help israel if hezbollah didn't surrender ..or should we convince israel to get out of the occupied land and give the prisoners back and to get the two soldiers back then all the fight will stop and probelm will be solved for ever ?????

We are already helping Israel. We have not stopped sending them weapons and supplies, not to mention financial aid. Right now that is as involved as the United States will/can get.
If Syria or Iran become actively involved, meaning putting troops on the ground or begin launching missles from their ground into Israel, then there will be a rethinking of the entire situation in the United States. I believe the US has manuevered a Naval Battle Group into position to better aid Israel if needed. That was done to send a message to Syria and Iran to stand down. Right now it's anyone's guess as to what Iran and Syria are going to do. It has been suggested that this entire crisis was generated by Iran to take the world attention away from their nuclear program.

America is already helping Israel, by providing them with all sorts of weapons and info and god knows what. It's truly sad that the american public can't see the injustice that is taking place in Lebanon, with so many innocent people dead, all civilians and the country's infrastructure practically destroyed. America should call for a cease fire. War is not the answer. It never is. it just creates even more problems and costs even more lives. people in the middle east have every right to live even if they are not american.

We are already helping (money, F-16, missiles, political support, etc.)
Hezbollah is still doing a lot better in the battlefield and they will never surrender so nothing can be done!
Get over it!

Who are we to continue going into other countries and hurting our own economy in order to "save" a few lives? The United States will end up sending troops because that's what the U.S. does. They send young men and women to countries to "help" when really, we don't expect their return. Israel gets all the help that it wants and more. So just know that if we go into Lebanon, it will be so much worse than us being in Iraq. But hey, if you think we're helping others and right now our country is better because we're in Iraq, then let's go for it. But I'm moving to Canada cuz gas has got to be better there.

It's our war too. Hezbollah killed over 200 Marines who were supposed to be peace keepers. It's ridiculous to try to distinguish between, Hamas, Hezbollah, or any other of these terrorist groups.

No - this is an internal matter. Israel should either survive or fall on its own.
