no you are certainly not 2 old!! its a great sport to take up for fun and keeping fit . .as long as you are not planning on taking part in boxing contests. . if you decide to do contests then you have to be very serious as boxing in competitions is very serious risk!!you have to be committed 100%. i run a boxing club and the oldest member we have in boxing competitions is 32 and has only had 1 contest that he won unanimous points decision!! go 2 your local a gym and get involved. .

29 is not too old, but boxing wouldn't be something ya wanna do for fun. I know that has become a yuppie thing, but the reality of it is, your face will deform alil and you'll develope serious problems in you hands. Those two are just givens.....now, if you suck, there would be alot more problems in your neck, head, etc. The conditioning is comparable to just jogging with light weightlifting. Give those two a try

Fun? as in what way? You will be sweating, puking your guts out, work your muscles until they shakes and burn, you'll come home with hard time to breath, open your eyes, or move your jaws at least once a week, etc...
You can decide on that one.
However as a 29 years old, if you mean turn as a professional boxer in ufture, yes you're too old. If you mean just to learn, no you're not too old.

No , boxing is for idiots who dont know how to fight.
The only good boxer is a pretty boxer.
Not many of those around.
If you can not beat a submission or a kick to the head then why bother
Take up a thinkings man game.
Boxers can not think when they are in mid battle cos they are stupid
Boxing is an idiots game

any sport can be taken up for fun its all on you how in depth you want to go. ranging from shadow boxing to competition. entirely up to you. most athletes will say late 20s - mid 30s is the persons prime. just look at the avg. age for the triathletes.

Taekwondo is far more demanding both physically and mentally, also you must learn respect, confidence, indomitableness and persistance.
However, im still working on humility.
Besides, you will get more respect being a black belt than just being someone who just punches people in the head.
Someone started training with us last week who was 43!!!!

Great sport to take up. Can get in shape fast with it's strenuous workout. If you want to spar make sure it's in a very controlled environment. Plus you don't have to spar if you don't want to. You can "work the floor" as it's called.
