It does not exist physically. The physical universe is the "world of flesh" and is made of matter. Heaven is spiritual and does not exist in the physical universe. Although many words have been used to metaphorically or allegorically describe the spiritual world, while we're in the physical world we have no words that can accurately describe it. We're limited to the words in our languages for descriptions and there is nothing in our world than can be accurately used as a likeness for descriptions of the spiritual world. The best description is to describe it as the world of the Living as opposed to our world of the dead.

Good question...
A few hundred years ago, scientists had no idea that radio waves existed...
Does that mean that they didn't exist, or that we coudn't detect them yet? The latter, of course is true. Therefore, since a place has not been physically discovered, that means that it is either not real, not yet detectable or it exists in a locale not yet discovered.
Physicists are aware that there are other dimentions in the world that we are unsure how to access. Stephen Hawking states that there are baby universes out there that wormholes might connect us to. Therefore, other places that we cannot fully understand are scientifically feasable to Physicists. (That's not to say they believe in spiritual matters, but that is to say that some of them confess that worlds exist that we cannot detect)
Since humans are both spirit and flesh, we are not complete in a purely spirit world. Therefore, when we die we go to a spirit place to await the day of judgment (like going to either a waiting room or a jail cell to await the appropriate court date). After court (Day of Judgment) Revelation tells us that the old Heaven and earth will be destroyed and made new again. Therefore, there will be no trace of a sinful world either in heaven or in Earth. In that day "time will be no more" (Rev. 21-22) and we will exist in a brand new resurrected body. Heaven will be something new altogether. But don't worry, there will be much more to do, it just hasn't been revealed to us yet.

Well you have it right the human mind is too limited to grasp the enormity of God. I can say by experience a portion of the Spirit/heavenly realm exist right here but is on different wave length(for lack of a better words). The Bible implies some form of upward motion from Ground and under ground but does not imply the distance. It may be an inch or a light year. In description there are three places outside of our physical universe. Heaven (defined as in the presence of God), hell (defined as the absence of God) and a space that separates the two.

Heaven is a place, an actual place, where when those who die who have put their faith in Jesus dying on the cross alone as a sacrifice for the sins of man(and not by doing good works or obeying a set of laws) they will forever be happy. It is simply a place of happiness which will never end.
In the physical sense of the the word, no one really knows, but the Bible points out that Heaven is in the highest Heaven. Does that mean a place out of our galaxy? I dont think so, because God said one day, all of the earth and sky will disappear. So it could mean in another dimension. But it doesn't really matter where it is and what it is like. Just put it on your priority list to get there. Put your faith in Jesus Christ alone. Please read Romans chapter 3 and Romans chapter 6

Well of course you can't see heaven because it is where souls are and you can't see your soul but it does exist. Heaven is where all good people go to be with God. Since I haven't been there I can't give you a complete description. All I know is that it's not a physical location, it is a spiritual one, I know this isn't terribly clear, however, it is all interpretation and what each person believes in.

Heaven isn't a physical place like chicago.. it is a spiritual place..
OK..
Heaven means... with god for eternity...
Hell Means... separated from god for eternity...
I have a hard time explaining this ... here was my answer to someone else... hope that helps..
Hugs
Ok.. so our early minds also tell us that Hell is a place of literal fire and brimstone..
BUT in Fact Hell means nothing more or less then you will be eternally seperated from god.
And Heaven means eternity WITH god...
Our minds warp it into physical representations of flower fields and such.
That simple and that complicated...
Heaven and Hell are a spiritual place.. we are made up of two parts.. the physical out bodies... and the spiritual.. our soul.. what makes us.. us...
I know I have a hard time wraping aroung it too!

All of that is stories written a long time ago. None of that exists. Remember when you was young and at first to make your life more fun everyone was telling you there was a SANTA, telling he was watching you and you better be good if you want presents. Then as you got older they, wanted you to know that none of that was true. Well, It's the same with Religion, God, Heaven and Hell. It's all imaginary and when you except it just like Santa you can go on with YOUR life. Cheers!

The Spiritual world is a superior anti-material world that is existing beyond the influence of eternal time, the material world is simply a shadow of the spiritual world.
So real life, real variety, real beauty, real knowledge, real existence, all exist in the Spiritual world.
Time, birth, disease, old age, death, the perfectly aligned forces of duality, pain and pleasure, hot and cold, up and down, good and bad etc, only exist in the material world and pertain to the material body only.
The reason we have a material body, is through misuse of free will, we decided to exist separately from the Spiritual world, therefore we "dress ourselves" in material bodies, life after life, the type of body we get, is dependent upon the type of mentality we create, if we live a Spiritual or Godly life then we can transcend this material world through purification and return back to the spiritual world in our original Spiritual form, that is temporarily covered by this ever changing temporal energy, that we falsely identify with as are real self.
To understand this science, it is recommended that you approach an authority, a bona fide Spiritual master, who can provide you with the knowledge to restore your Spiritual perception of not only your self, but also Spiritual reality and God.
This is the purpose of human life, if human life is not utilisied to become self realised, then the path of birth and death continues and the soul or self remains deluded by consistent misuse of free will.

It does not exist in a physical place. It is spiritual. Heaven is when you experience Love and all that go with that. The same with Hell - a spiritual place where there is an absence of Love. All of us have experienced times when you feel "connected", purposefull, etc. as well as the days when you definately hate everything. Of course most of my time I think I spend on "neutral ground" with times experiencing Heaven and then Hell.
Our existence here on earth is to "train"/"condition" our minds/souls to be/live in one or the other [Heaven/Hell]. Striving to have Love in your life for most of the time is a difficult thing to do as everybody knows. When we lay the flesh down [when we physically die], our soul will continue in the spirit it was clothed with/in which it was used to exist in while still in the flesh.

"Heaven" does not have a physical location. The problem with trying to visualize the afterlife is that we live in a physical world. Heaven, which exists outside of time and space, is impossible for us to comprehend -- it is simply outside the realm of anything we've physically experienced. Therefore, the most spectacular image of heaven (that our thoughts can produce) is not even close to the reality of how amazing heaven will be.
