I (a girl) work at a company that I'll soon be leaving after this summer. One of the executives is very good looking and I am quite attracted to him, though he is waaay older than me. I definitely don't expect/want some kind of relationship with him but I feel very tempted to flirt w/ him. He's very nice to me and smiles to everyone but I don't know if theres any slight interest/attraction on his part for ME. I just wanted to know 1) whether it's okay for me to just play around for bit (I'll be gone soon anyway) and 2) what kind of signals on his part could I interpret as more than just friendliness?

Thanks a lot everyone!

I do it all the time....

No seriously, flirting is just a way of interacting with people. I think I am the same way with both males and females. Flirting does not have to be sexual. And in your situation you should NOT begin flirting sexually with this person. If you want to have some fun, then start off by talking to him more and making little jokes... see how he responds. It's pretty easy to know when someone is flirting back with you.

I don't know... it's always hazardous IMOHO
to date within the workplace, especially when
it involves an exec.

1) Better ask if HE has a signifigant other or a wife before you make your move. No sense getting
you as well as him into trouble.

If he IS a total bachelor:

2) Ask if he goes to some kind of bar or club
as an after-work hangout. If and when he does
stop there, go in, and take it up from there.

Don't bother with it. He is just a friendly type of guy. No signals to interpret.

professionally no you should not flirt and see where it goes however if this is not a place you need for your resume or future employment and it's just a summer job or a filler while you go to school or something feel free to see where it goes

Please don't flirt. Smiles and eye contact are enough. If you were to flirt he might misinterpret your come-ons as something more and since you said you don't want/expect a relationship, then you would be leading him on. Not a good idea.

he sounds like a very friendly person...

you might have to invite him to something before you leave... like a drink... if he accepts, then you can get talking to him and see what happens... maybe get him in a corner and put your hand on his knee, kiss his cheek, give him a hug and rub his crotch with yours or your hand... tell him that he makes you horny... ;)

Forget about him. If you want some excitement call me.
Dont dip your pen in company ink.

Its ok if you both are on the same page. Don't take it too far and for heaven sake don't do it if it's your boss.

It depends. Is he married? Then No. Do you want a letter of recommendation from this place or from him? Then No.
