Get some oil of cloves, but get a lot because you are going to be using it every 1/2 hour or so.
It would just be better to go to the dentist. The longer you put it off, the worse your tooth will get.
I know the dentist can be scary, but we had a friend that left it so late that he actually lost some muscle movement in his cheek. It ended up costing him a boatload of money.
I suggest that you go down to the dentist and talk to the receptionist. Tell her/him of your problem( fear of dentist) They will work with you.
Good luck!

There are two kinds of pain. one caused by decay exposing the nerve inside the tooth, other caused by infection of the tooth.
Clove oil is useful in the former case.
If there is infection (you may have a swelling or you will feel the pain when you bite on the teeth) it has to be treated using antibiotics.
my SUGGESTION!! go to a dentist.

By saying "pain killers" I'm assuming you're referring to prescription drugs like narcotics and not just household aspirin. Because to be honest, without some kind of analgesic aka aspirin, ibuprofen or Tylenol there's not much you can do. You could try either a hot water bottle or ice pack. The ice will relieve the swell while the heat will dull pains.

Rub some whiskey on the gum surrounding the painful tooth. This method was applied before there were dentists to go to.

for God's sake GET TO A DENTIST!!! I ignored my own teeth's health out of fear and now wear a full set of false one for my phobia. I went through abcess after abcess, and almost died when I wasn't able to get to a dentist for 3 weeks when an abcess flared up. If you have a toothace, do not, I repeat, DO NOT put off making an appointment ASAP. if you can't afford it there are free dental clinics in large cities.

oragel or any rub in ointment over the counter will help. And walmart (I hate being store specific but I know they have it there) has HYLAND'S teething tablets (ask the pharmacy section) its completely natural, no side effects, but works GREAT on my kids, so it may help you too. In the long run going to the dentist will be the best thing tho.

Ibuprofen. That's what the doc will tell you to take, and it's the only thing that'll cut the pain without a prescription.
