They are not incompetent. They are trying to find people who have been hidden somewhere in a country.

Do you think that they are psychic or something?

when I come across a question like this, it is rather amusing to have a quick look at some of the answers given, which shows media's important effect world wide.
" Yankeegurl " for example, said :
( Those freakish terrorists are not in a negotiating mood. I don't think they ever were, and they never will be ). !!!
Now this "non-sense" can be answered in a simple question too :
Assuming Hezbollah made the "life - time" mistake by kidnapping the 2 Israeli soldiers, does that justify killing and butchering over 1000 civilians ? Or maybe - as you believe - Israel had the choice of NOT attacking Lebanon, and call Hezbollah to the Negotiation table, but " Unfortunately " Hezbollah - the Freakish terrorists - were not in a negotiating mood !!! .... Please !!!

"Johnny Yuma" said :
..... ( ....if the cowardly Hezbo's weren't hiding behind women and children )...!!!
There is an expression that I know, it says :
" when a person does not know how to dance, he would say for an excuse that the Floor is not straight " !!!!
Same goes for the Israelis, they have to cover up their incompetence for the following :
1 - They can not pin point their enemy's locations, so they came up with this story ( hiding behind civilians ) .
2 - Mr. Olmert realized that he has entered something he does not know how to end it .
3 - The matter of the 2 hostages - which has become second place in terms of importance, after Mr. Olmert's target to win this war at any cost - !!! Those 2 hostages are very much alive, but they are not the main dish at the table now.

henceforth, I don't think that Hezbollah are running away from negotiations,as well as they are cowards, they are merely a group of people trying to make a point to the "incompetent" Israeli army...!!!

The Israeli army isn't incompetent. After all its backed by the U.S. it's just that they didn't expect such resistance from Hezbollah and Lebanon. And they didn't care about the kidnapped soldiers. They always wanted to invade Lebanon and increase their land. The whole kidnapped soldiers thing just gave them an opportunity to do what they are good at, that is grab more land and kill thousands of innocent people.

And contrary to what most people think, Hezbollah is NOT a terrorist organization. It is a political party that represents the people and has a few seats in the Lebanese Government. Americans talk about "promoting" democracy but they are just bull shitting. We know how they reacted when Hamas won the election democratically and how they support a military ruler in Pakistan.

The fact is that the Terrorists have had six years to accumulate rockets and anti-tank weapons and dig concrete bunkers two stories deep. Supposedly the Israeli Government was not aware of the foregoing - this constitutes a colossal intelligence failure in a country that has prided itself on having the best intelligence
in the world. Is it possible that the CIA sent agents to Israel to show the how not do it?

They are incompetent kids with very competent weapons. They are not looking for the soldiers, that is not what this murderous spree is about. It is about the greed of the Israelis for land and power. Very simple.

They don't care about the hostages. The whole thing was an excuse to kill Arabs. Just as the whole thing for Arabs is an excuse to kill Jews. It's been going on for 4000 years, and neither side wants peace. Both sides are warmongers without honor

Incompetent? You mean like how the entire US military and CIA, etc. has yet to find Osama bin Laden?

It's not just a matter of competence. In both cases, it is a very hard target.

Yea but mostly cowards hiding behind air strikes. This enemy can not be destroyed using F-16s. They actually need to engage them in ground battles. Again the ground troops with all their Merkavas (tanks) and ariel support are not competent enough and certainly cowrds!!

Are you really wondering? If your family was kidnapped by islamic fascists, I would wonder if you could secure their release in 3 weeks too.

On the other side there are fundamentalists.
A muslim fundamentalist is ready to die and doesn't run away...even if he is in front of one of the best army in the world.
Fundamentalism is very dangerous because mind is still the best weapon.
