Chesil Beach, Dorset, is the longest in the UK, being 18 miles long.
See:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chesil_Beach
This site claims that Pendine Beach, in Wales is the longest, but it is only 7 miles long. However, it may be the longest sandy beach.
Berrow Beach is a six mile length of beach with sand dunes and firm sand, which is the second longest stretch of sand in Europe.
Hope this helps:>)
