I love the look of teased hair, especially in a pony tail like this http://www.beautyriot.com/article.php?id=2740&c_id=54 but my hair is really long and thick and I have a hard time making it poof up like that. Any hints, ladies?
PS- I know HOW to tease it... I just can never get it to work in a ponytail!

Note: Teasing to much can kill your hair, so take it easy!!!! DON'T TEASE TOO MUCH!!!!
Ok, while up in a pony tail, back comb it until its frizzy, then run fingers through it to calm the frizz! It looks nice!

why do you want to tease it? teasing it lift the scales on the folicle so they won't lay flat. if they don't lay flat, then your hair won't be smooth, healthy, or shiny. You'll get split ends, and there are no ways to repair split ends. you'd be better off finding another hair style that you like, that doesn't require teasing your hair.

you should have someone thin out your hair. my cousin thinned out her hair before and now it isn't as thick.

just don't pull it tight.I do my hair like that all the time.
