Maybe like a chocolate brown with some colored throw pillows. Light blue or dark red maybe. That way you're not really stuck with a color that may be hard to work around when you want to change things up. Keep your decorating options open....

go with a nutral color. just make sure you get the style you want. i'd go with a cream and change the wall color , but the beige would make any dark or deep color POP or visa versa. What color do you think looks good with beige it is a nutral color that goes with just about any color.what ever you get as long as you like the style you can always get slip covers to go over them for a different color if you get tired of the color or want a new look

A strong color is going to give you high contrast which will give the room more energy. Low contrast in a room will make it feel calmer.

A light shiny blue would be nice and feminine, but wouldn't work for kids or pets. I like the idea of a slip covered sofa to give you more flexibility.

Anything but beige. Something of a sharp color contrast, such as a hunter green or deep blue. Jewel tone colors would look best.

Honestly, I think you would be safe with ANY color with that. But I think Burgundy would look really nice. Or dark green. You could incorporate both colors if you want, like burgundy sofa with dark green pillows and accents elsewhere (curtains and such).

beige is a neutral color, goes with pretty much anything, so you can get any color sofa you like.

If you want to stay neutral go with off white or dark brown. If you want to add some pop to the room go with red.

Any color (not beige). You only have neutral colors in that room and you can introduce any color into it.
