My central air conditoner fan is keep running. Why?

I have a central air conditioner. I don't know why fan is keep running. My thermostar two switch one is auto and fan and the other switch is cool, off and heat. but now is auto and off. I don't know why fan is keep running. Ane I turn to cool air conditon running good. Do you know why? Thaks John

From your description it sounds as if the "cool/off/heat" switch is faulty.
