It's a garden plant with bright yellow flowers related to garlic and onions. The leaves smell a bit like garlic. It's not poisonous, but it doesn't have the same flavour or health benefits as garlic. If it was any good, people would eat it.

Its not the same and not so good. I once made a classic French dish with 24 BULBS of garlic - I though it was a mistake, but apparently not. It tasted sweet as the whole bulbs turned mushy, but I did spend the aftermath chewing on cloves which gets rid of that awful smell. I just love garlic and don't think anything can replace it. Traditional curries etc. usually contain herbs and spices which counteract the pungency of the garlic, hence coriander, clove, etc. which are all added in different proportions for a reason not just thrown randomly in a pot and call it curry.

There are few different types of Garlic and it depends on how it is cooked what flavor you will get. Garlic also produces really pretty flowers.
I recently tried Garlic Spears that were delicious. They have a sweeter taste almost like Asparagus. In fact that was how I cooked them. With butter, asparagus, and a little white wine with salt and pepper to taste, you just saute them in a skillet and it turns out fabulous! Only takes about 10 minutes.

Its an inferior cousin of normal garlic. The taste is similar but not as strong and therefore not as pungent. I'd suggest use ordinary garlic - just less of it!

It gives you sweet garlic breath, is good for you and is a handy thing to have around in case a vampire drops-by.

I've never heard of that before! But ordinarily, garlic stinks when put in water for more than a day!

Eat the garlic and see what happens.
It won't affect your breath any more than anything else with a similar level of smell. If in doubt, eat a mint
