there are people with such maladies, not aware of any labels attached to them, mostly because no one but them is aware of it. Not the way one can see blindness or deafness in another.

they would be people in alot of pain as there sinus would not be working. Lots of people can"t smell as well as animals. At least you could still live a pretty normal life if you could not smell. I really don"t no for sure but you might not be sble to taste either if you could taste then you would alright when it came to food. Some smells would be nice if you could not smell them I have a good nose some times it drives me crazy because there is a bad smell and I can"t tell were it comes from God takes one thing away and gives you another so I am sure there is an way to live without the sense of smell. But not without a nose because it has so many functions

Yes, there are; my sister, after having a benign mass removed from her sinus, lost her sense of smell. That was over 18 years ago, and no signs of it coming back.
There are many down sides, the worst of which was that she was not permitted to join the Police force; but, on the other hand, cleaning out the kitty litter is no problem for her!

Yes.
Anosmia is the absence of the sense of smell. Smell loss can be partial or complete, and can be a result of an injury, illness, or can be congenital. People with a normal sense of smell confuse the sensations given to them by their tongue (sweet, salty, etc.) with those they detect using their nose. So, people with anosmia also have a limited sense of what many people would regard as taste.
People with this condition are called anosmics

They have a chemosensory condition, and yes, there are plenty of people who can't smell or taste. Isn't that sad? Often, the two senses are linked, which is double whammy.....
