Really, in any job you work with there are almost always ways to work with children, not just teaching like most people think. While teaching is a good way, it doesn't pay as much as other jobs.

One way around being a pedaitrican is to start out as an RN. You can study to be a pediatric Registered Nurse. If you find you really like the profession, you can study to be a Nurse practitioner. This is a nurse that can do almost as many things as a dr. can, but I believe the time spent in training is a lot less.

I worked as a preschool teacher for over 6 years before my son was born. My son has Autism and there is a great need now for people trained in how to work with Autistic children. That's another suggestion and an area that's always needed, no matter what the disability.

I feel it is a beautiful natural quandary for feminine experts. I used to be studying a publication just lately known as 'Catfight: why females compete with each and every different' (that's good researched in spite of the terrible identify). The creator argues that females are given conflicting recommendation to be a superb mother and a superb profession-lady (as good as whether or not or to not have a caesarian, breastfeed, and so forth). So something course they decide on, there shall be folks who feel that is the incorrect course. As a outcome, they get very protective approximately something choice they have got selected, and have a tendency to shoot down any individual who is selected some thing else. There's not anything incorrect with having a little one at 35. My aunt had her first then, and went directly to have three extra. They're all lovely, clever and healthful. It turns out like your choices are: - have a little one earlier than graduating. Upside: the little one is ancient ample to visit nursery college by the point you must consciousness to your profession. Downside: extra debt, and it could lengthen your completing the PhD for a 12 months or 2. - have a little one quickly after graduating. As above, besides that it delays your profession as an alternative than your measure. - have a little one as soon as you will have headquartered your profession. Upside: you repay your debt and feature a task to come back again to. Downside: bigger threat (regardless that nonetheless rather small till approximately 38) of beginning defects (except you undertake). - have a little one at any time when you prefer, and placed them in daycare. Upside: much less (even though nonetheless plentiful) disruption on your profession. Downside: extra complex to bond with the child, and also you get much less say in how they are introduced up. But this is dependent upon the daycare. None of those choices are excellent, and that is no longer your fault. Society will have to furnish bigger choices for authentic females. Whichever you decide on, do not believe like a failure. You're a triumphant, clever lady, and it is YOUR lifestyles. So what if folks pass judgement on you? They'll pass judgement on you something you do, and you can nonetheless uncover someplace you slot in. PS: is not the navy intended to provide you scholarships? Or are there different scholarships or bursaries you might follow for? I've heard that PhD bursaries are more often than not assured.

i guess you could work at Mcdonalds if you arent that bright? there are lots of kids there, and the wages are right up there for your education and experience. You would have to go to Med school or get a teaching degree for either of the choices you want. Good luck to you, and let me know when you wake up from fantasyland.

Maybe you could run your own daycare? Teaching is very rewarding, but doesn't pay all that well (trust me on this). You could be a nurse in a children's ward or hospital.
