There are those psychotic people who think, that just because you don't attend every church gathering, celebrate holidays, have a drink occasionally that to zealots you will burn in hell, though you have not lived your life according to their standards? What gives?

I guess I should have said, the few, I'm not stereotyping, or at least don't mean to. I'm talking about the few who give the whole a bad name....

Don't concern yourself with what others have to say about such things. That's not their responsibility to tell you how to live your life
Some people are psychotic people are not well or they wouldn't be psychotic,so I don't believe those types of people should reflect on you. It takes a lot more than that to burn in hell. All you need to do if you haven't yet is to ask for forgiveness, believe Christ died for your sins and ask him to come live in your heart.
Then you have be saved!!! Try to live your life according to his word to the best of your ability. That does not me to try and be perfect. We all do things off the beaten path but deep in our hearts we live well.Live your life to your own standards, that is your choice and you have the freedom to do so.

I am a Christian and I do not feel that way. You are stereotyping. I do not condemn anyone to hell because we all are sinners who can be saved at anytime. All we have to do is ask for God's forgiveness and mercy.

They do not understand scripture.

It is not following customs, rules, and regulations etc. that determines if you will end up in heaven or hell,

BUT

whether you are living right or measuring up to all the light that you have.

The Bible is to be rule to go by

NOT

what persons say which it tradition or custom.

I would say - don't concern yourself with their attitude and remarks. They are obviously trying to impose their beliefs on you. They should get the hint if you tell them (in a nice way) to go mind their business and leave you alone. Fortunately, they are in the minority.
