What a ridiculous assumption...that you can tell an illegal immigrant from a legal citizen by looking at them? Appearances can be deceiving.
However, if you speak to someone and that person speaks not one word of English, chances are good that they are illegal.
One requirement for U.S. citizenship is a reasonable knowledge of the English language. I know this because my grandparents emigrated LEGALLY and had to prove English proficiency in order to become citizens.
