Or was he just a sociopath with a lust for power?

Here is an interesting thing. Every authority on Islam throughout history and today, admits that Muhammad was possessed by satan. How could a true prophet (protected by God) be possessed by satan? Further, isn't Muhammad's behavior during his lifetime and the behavior of Islam for it's entire history, including today, congruent with a dedication to satan as opposed to God?

I think this is the most important thing for muslims to know about their religion. There are a great many muslims who do not agree with the evil that Islam basically commands them to do but who are ignorant about this basic fact of their religion. If they knew the truth, I doubt they would stay (even though the penalty for leaving Islam is death).

I hope so, but unfortunately, he did not write the Koran himself, it was done 200 years after him and his teaching might have been misinterpreted later on.
I respect the freedom of speech, but I dislike your statement:
Or was he just a sociopath with a lust for power? If you have such ideas, they ought to be based on some facts, don't they?
I think that we should keep a higher standard than that in our discussions.

If he was not, then you are saying a false Prophet fooled your true Lord and established his will across the continents without the will of the Lord.

Remember the US can not turn Iraq, Israel can not win against a handful of Lebanese fighters. How can a "false prophet" single handedly turn all the Arabs one and all to love Moses and David and eradicate their (pagan) religion, and in its place put a religion that loves Moses and David and Jesus?

Why would a man who is opposed to God, take such terrible risks to his own life and limb and institute a religion that speaks of the ONE TRUE GOD, and puts Israel's name in the families of Arabs to the point that Arabs begin to name their children after the great ones of Israel after this man comes to them with the truth.

Why would he choose the names of Jesus or Moses or David when the Jews at that time were total losers, homeless vagabonds living in dire poverty in most places in the World? Would a false Prophet not choose something that would be more attractive than choosing the elite of a loser nation that did not even have a nation to call its own. Why would such a false Prophet fight his own uncles? his own cousins? his own fellow citizens. Can you imagine an American fighting with fellow americans to institute the religion of some remote religion of the Africans or the Australian natives or even American Indian natives?

Lastly, if a false Prophet can do all this in a mere twenty three years by himself, without any army or navy or air force, AND without the support of God (naturally God can not support a false prophet), why can George Bush or Sharon gain their goals quicker, with all their resources?

Why was Russia unable to eradicate Islam or Christianity from its borders when it had nuclear weapons?

Having lust for power is one thing, bud. Making it happen is quiet another thing!! Many with lust for power have fallen flat on their faces. Even if Alexander the Great conquered the World, where is his Work?

The Work of Mohammad is on par with the work of Jesus and way ahead of the work of Moses, when the followers of both Jesus and Moses have had a lot more time.

What is turning so many Americans to Islam? What is turning so many Africans to Islam? The lust for power of a man that died 1400 years ago? THINK how you insult the TRUE GOD and your own prophets. Jesus could not even convert his own disciples to the point of sticking with him, who all left when Jesus was taken to be crucified.

I do thank you for giving me the opportunity to answer, so you would hopefully think things through. And, try to be fair, if you are a decent person.

Peace.

As for being a prophet, that depends on your system of beliefs. But I certainly think that he was a very intelligent man with lots of charisma. He was hardly a lustful sociopath.

all the GREATEST writers and philosophers call him the greatest man who ever walked the earth in what he achieved in his lifetime.he transformed a society of idol worshipers, without law or order into a great civilization who conquered far and wide and whos followers became the greatest scholars of the middle ages.keep in mind that the prophet was uneducated.no man has done that before or since.only a prophet, sent by god could.they also call him the most humble person you can imagine....there goes your sociopath theory.

The interesting thing about religion, is that the majority of the people in the world think that you are wrong. So the majority of the world would say that no he wasn't a prophet. They would also deny the divinity of Jesus, and refute the teaching of L. Ron Hubbard.

I think he had some really good teachings, but a few weirdo's who profess to follow his teachings have misinterpreted what he was about and just gone off the rails (e.g. Bin Laden)

One of the things he taught was that Sons and Daughters should be treated equally....and look at some of the ways today's Muslim men treat their women!

l Yes , I believe he was a prophet.I also believe that Jesus was not a prophet and was the son of God or Allah as Mohammad referred him to be.Mohammad s' teaching came much latter after the bible was written and was never written down.Past on verbally lost a lot of the teaching of the bible and interpretations were also lost and left up to individually
