Please understand I am not bashing anyone's beliefs. I always look at everthing at face value and try to research it has much as I can. I too was born into a Christian family, but don't remeber this being explained. I have not been a practicing Christian for some time, so I would just like some of your views.
If there is proof that there are things dating back to BC, how does that explain that God created everything. Or do Christians not believe that there is history before Christ?
I have read both religious views and scientific view, and both seem to have a great argument, so I would just like to know what others think.

The ENTIRE old testament is a history of the time before Christ.
No one knows how the earth was made. Christianity ...or religion for that matter is based on FAITH. If you dont have faith, you're not really a believer. Scientists faith is based purely on proven facts. However there are MANY instances and miracles that occur that science doesn't explain.
The entire process of reproduction is so complicated...how could it just have COME TO BE??
No matter what your beliefs, it is your faith that determines how you live, and are the foundation of your morals. Everyone believes in something...even if they claim not to.

All the old testament is a recorded history of everything before Christ as it pertains to Israel and her neighbors.
The Bible is used as a source text for middle east archeologists for events and locations so there must be some varifiable truth within the pages.
Christ as a man did note exist until the roman occupation of Israel but Christ as a person has always existed.
You seem to think that the incarnation of Christ is the begining of God, it is clearly not. God exists in 3 seperate yet unified persons. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Of course we believe there is history before Christ. The entire Old Testament is BC. Maybe I am reading your question incorrectly? Are you talking about evolutionary theories, or the existence of anything before Christ's birth?
P.S. Be careful not to put all your trust and faith in science. Remember, scientists once believed the earth was flat!

I'm not able to comment on specific reasons. My view is, there are too many things that have shown up in all religions which speak of similar happenings and stories. Logically, for me there has to be some truth to it somewhere for all of this similarities to have taken place. You will find instances of the same story being told in different books of the Bible, written at different periods of time. Historians disagree on events based on their own research but they don't deny that an event took place. It is up to everyone to decide for themselves based on what you have read and what seems logical to you.

BC is before Christ, not before God. God always was and always will be and thus was around in BC to create everything.

God created everything before christ. BC just means before Jesus came to earth.
