Listen to something calm and relaxing on the way. I listened to the local classical music station on the way to the exam, which was an hour away for me as well fighting rush hour traffic.

Best thing is to pray before hand. Pray for the peace of God to rest upon you and you may be surprised that you are a little more at ease. Also, don't forget to thank God as well when you pass. Just like in any relationship, God doesn't want to hear from us only when we have problems.

Audio books. They're a great distraction. Go to your local library and pick out a CD or tape of a book you'd love to read ... a real "page-turner." Pop it in when you pull out of your drive and you will lose so much track of time that you won't be able to believe you are already there and ready to take the exam. (When you've finished the exam, instead of agonizing over how you did, you'll be eager to get back in the car and finish your "book.") Most of these last two and half or three hours.

Get someone to drive you there. Statistics show people do worse on exams who have to drive the day of.

I had to spend the night in a hotel to take my exam, about 200 miles away! I did that and passed it the FIRST time in RECORD time!! I got through 100 questions in 40 minutes, and left people in the exam who were there when I GOT there!!
