Well, if the weather is good there's the beach. There is two lots of amusements with lots of 2p drop machines and other amusements, there is 'The Boathouse' pub, and some lovely little shops, the chip shop next to the bakery is excellent, and Geralds is really good value for your food shopping.
You can walk along the sea wall to Dawlish, and on the way there is the red rock cafe, which is great value. In Dawlish itself there are more shops & cafes, including the wonderful 'Gay's Creamery', where plenty of delicious baked goods, clotted cream and ice creams can be bought. The breakfast pie and the carrot cake are gorgeous!
